Thursday Night Thrilla was a much anticipated series by the youth cycling population of Bend Oregon in the late 2010s. Where else could we put our hard earned training to the test while simultaneously inhaling unprecedented amounts of dust and falling behind on homework at the same time? It was here that I learned how to defend my line choices. “Clydesdale” men, who started with the Pro Women for reasons known only to the organizers, weren’t easily elbowed out of the way, making choosing proper line choices a priority.
